WHAT IS ERYTHRITOL?
Erythritol
is a four-carbon sugar alcohol, which is obtained from glucose as the
main raw material through fermentation, transformation and purification
by yeast microorganisms
Feature
1. Almost no fever
*Due to its small molecular weight, it is easily absorbed by the intestinal tract, but because the human body does not have enzymes to decompose erythritol, it does not provide energy to the body and does not participate in sugar metabolism.
* A small amount of erythritol that is not excreted in urine enters the human large intestine and is excreted as feces.
2. No effect on blood sugar or insulin
Does not raise blood sugar or insulin levels. Erythritol in healthy people does not alter blood sugar or insulin levels, nor does it affect cholesterol, triglycerides, or other biomarkers.
3. Avoid tooth decay
Sugar alcohols are not utilized by carious microorganisms in the human oral cavity, nor are they hydrolyzed by enzymes to produce sugar-like acids in the oral cavity.
Glucose stays in your mouth for 8 hours and pH drops to 5. Sugar alcohols do not lower the pH in the mouth.
