WHAT IS SODIUM GLUCONATE?
Sodium gluconate is a type of sodium polyhydroxycarboxylate, also called sodium hydroxycaproate, which is a white or pale yellow crystalline granule or powder, freely soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol and slightly soluble in ether.
This product has good retarding effect and good flavor, widely used in construction, cleaning, food and pharmaceutical industry
Application 1:Sodium gluconate----Concrete additive
After adding a certain amount of sodium gluconate to cement, it can increase the plasticity and strength of concrete, and has a blocking effect. This means that the initial and final setting period of the concrete can be extended, for example by adding 0.15% sodium gluconate. The initial setting time of the concrete is more than ten times longer, that is to say, the plasticity time of the concrete is extended from a few hours to several days without affecting its robustness.
Plasticity and initial set time are very important issues in concrete operations. For example, delaying the initial solidification time is a difficult problem in high-temperature construction and large-scale civil engineering construction. Sodium gluconate can solve this problem successfully.
Application 2:Sodium gluconate----Water stabilize
Sodium gluconate is widely used as a water stabilizer for circulating cooling water systems, low pressure boilers, internal combustion engine cooling water systems, etc. in petrochemical companies due to its excellent corrosion and scale inhibiting effects.
